A round up of our first networking event!

We are so pleased with how our very first networking event went down. On the 24th March 2026 our Linking Hope team held our very first event since launching, and it was a huge success!

The event, which was held at Shakespeare House in Derby consisted of an introduction from the Committee Team, as well as the opportunity for attendees to answer some really important questions surrounding suicide and mental wellbeing, including ‘Why did you come here today?’ and ‘What is the best way we can showcase and promote the work you do?’.

One attendee, described the event as ‘One of the best networking events I’ve ever been to. Not because they planned anything extraordinary, but because they brought likeminded people together who were genuinely passionate about one cause – supporting people affected by suicide bereavement’.

Another attendee said ‘There were loads of people! Great vibe, positive conversations, real sense of purpose‘.

Our aim is to hold these networking events quarterly and open them up to more charities, organisations, businesses and individuals in order to support more people affected by suicide and educate workplaces to be more confident in conversations about suicide and mental wellbeing in the workplace.
